Creative Brooch-Making Workshop Enlivens the 2025 Batik Fashion Fair at Grand City Surabaya

November 14, 2025, Surabaya – The 2025 Batik Fashion Fair at Grand City Surabaya once again presented a series of creative activities that captured visitors’ attention. On November 14, 2025, the exhibition atmosphere became even more vibrant with the Creative Brooch-Making Workshop, which invited participants to be directly involved in the process of creating artistic-value accessories.

The workshop featured accessory and gemstone artisans from East Java as the main speakers. Participants not only observed the production process but were also given the opportunity to try it themselves, ask questions, and directly practice various brooch-making techniques using selected materials.

The participants’ enthusiasm was evident throughout the event. An interactive atmosphere emerged as participants exchanged ideas, discussed with one another, and explored new techniques in arranging and crafting brooches. Various methods of material processing and accessory finishing became new insights that can be utilized for the future development of handicraft products.

Beyond the material aspect, the participants’ experience was further enhanced by the aesthetic stage decoration, which created a creative ambiance that supported the overall workshop atmosphere. This activity proved that a batik exhibition does not only focus on fashion products, but also emphasizes education and capacity building for MSME players.

The Batik Fashion Fair 2025 itself will continue until November 16, 2025, featuring various workshop agendas and other MSME product exhibitions. Through these activities, it is hoped that more people will actively participate in supporting and developing local MSMEs.
